Autumn is upon us and ready to give us all the traditional aromas and colors of this splendid period. Since its dawn,
we at the historic Masseria Susafa have always had at heart the freshness and seasonality of our products, taking into account the characteristics of each one. September is the month in which our tomatoes release their flavors and aroma. It is the perfect time, in fact, to try out a course dedicated to this magnificent fruit and thus celebrate the advent of autumn. From mid-September it will be possible to savor the product of months of patient work in the fields, in a journey that will lead you to discover this fantastic product and its secrets. During this day, we will provide the total experience: from a tour through the vegetable garden, to the transformation of the tomatoes in the kitchen.
The day starts with a rich breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread and jam, made at the Masseria in a natural way according to tradition. The best way to charge your body with energy
After breakfast, admire the vivacity of the colors of our garden.
We will spend a pleasant hour in the company of our farmer, who will teach us about the cultivation methods in use.
After the tour, to conclude our morning, we will relax outdoors on hay bales and taste a pasta dish seasoned with tomatoes, aubergines and fresh Sicilian ricotta.
