FOR A CHIC COUNTRY RETREAT IN A SICILIAN FARMHOUSE
Classic Suite
The Classic Suites provide spacious accommodation with a private outside area, a small private garden with seating, a place to be really in touch with nature. The thoughtfully refurbished rooms preserve traces of their rural past: the Classic Suites are actually created from the “calves’ stable” of former times.
The furnishings of the rooms, despite their simple lines, are original and characterful. The Sicilian chestnut beamed ceilings for example, are mainly taken from the original farmhouse, while the flooring is in handmade Sicilian terracotta tiles. Most of the furnishings were commissioned from local craftworkers, using designs made specifically for us.
The sleeping area stars a spacious, king size bed, 200×200cm. The bathroom has a bathtub, where you can have some exclusive me-time, priceless moments of pure relaxation. The wide, glazed French doors fill the rooms with light, offering a restful view of the countryside around Susafa.
The Classic Suites offer comforting country chic, for a romantic break for two.

Natural comfort in the Classic Suite
The Classic Suites have goose feather or memory foam pillows (according to the guest's preference) and comfortable sprung mattresses with memory foam layer. Sicilian chestnut beamed ceiling, the wood partly recovered from the restoration of the original farmhouse roof. The flooring is in handmade, wood stove-baked, Sicilian terracotta tiles. In order to reproduce the old plasterwork of the original manor house, the flooring in some of the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are coated with our own finish, based on limestone sealed with a natural wax. A diffuser perfumes the room with delicate citrus scents.
The private bathroom, with bathtub, has hairdryer, a large wall mirror and 550g cotton towels. The guests will also find a bathroom set with bathrobe and slippers. We decided that, given our environmental sustainability policy, we would avoid single-use detergents. The shower/shampoo and hand soap, to Sicilian fragrances, are locally produced and distributed, supplied from dispensers refiled every day.
Similarly we have not provided room minibars (available only on request). Susafa aims to reduce energy consumption and minimise waste from single-use products, by means of practical steps in line with its policy of care for the environment.
